How to easily make candied apples: a quick and tasty recipe
CANDIED APPLES
Sunny and so delicious!
Ingredients:
1 kg of apples (almost all varieties except Semerenko)
500 ml of water
500 g of sugar
juice of one lemon
zest of one lemon
Optionally, you can add cinnamon, anise, cardamom.
To make candied apples, peel and seed the apples. Cut them into 4 by 4 cm pieces.
Add lemon zest and juice, sugar.
Pour in water, bring to a boil, and cook for 20 minutes over medium heat. The apples should be soaked in syrup and become transparent.
Then leave the apples in the syrup until they cool completely.
Put the apples on a wire rack and dry them in an oven at 80°C for 4-5 hours. You can also use a dehydrator.
The apple syrup can be stored in the freezer and reused, as well as for soaking biscuits and muffins.
Cool the candied apples and put them in an airtight container. Candied apples are ready!
