How to keep salad leaves fresh for up to 30 days

You can avoid wilting, darkening, and molding of lettuce, fruits, and vegetables with a smart way of storing food. Salad leaves, in particular, can stay fresh for up to 30 days.

All you need to do is wrap the salad you just bought in foil before putting it in the fridge. This was reported by Express.co.uk.

For example, green onions and asparagus will last longer if you put them in a glass filled with a little water and then put a plastic bag over them loosely. This will keep them fresh for up to two weeks.

Improper storage of cucumbers in the refrigerator will cause them to become soft within three days. Instead, you should put them in a plastic bag; poke a few holes in the bag for ventilation and place them in a cool place in the kitchen.

As for tomatoes, it is also better not to keep them in the refrigerator, just like potatoes. When it comes to storing herbs, you need to wet a paper towel, roll the herbs in it, and place them in a zipper bag and then in the refrigerator.
