A la panna-cotta: a recipe for milk jelly
Milk jelly

This dessert is an analog of the Italian panna-cotta. It is just as tender and milky, but has a Ukrainian flavor. Try cooking it with us. The recipe was shared by the Shuba portal.

Ingredients

  • Milk 3.2% - 3 cups
  • Sugar - 1.5 tbsp
  • Potato starch - 2 tbsp.
  • Vanilla sugar - 1 tsp.
  • Berries - optional

Preparation

  1. In a deep saucepan, heat 2 cups of milk to a boil. Add the sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
  2. Dissolve the starch in 1 cup of milk.
  3. Pour the dissolved starch into the saucepan in a thin stream, stirring constantly.
  4. Cook the jelly over low heat, stirring, for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour the jelly into molds and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  6. Serve chilled, garnished with berries or jam if desired.
